The tide goes out on the pacific side about 5-8 feet every day is what I understood, which is why all the boats are sitting in mud.
Sailed across the gulf in October 2012 on my restored 31ft sailboat. Sold it in Mexico. Bought a Honda 150cc & rode to Panama. Hired a 120' sailboat to take me and the bike to Colombia! Then rode through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Machu Pichu and into the Amazon Basin of Bolivia.. May 2014 Rode 5000 miles touring Grand Canyon and Yellowstone area of Wyoming and northern Idaho. Now Thirty Days in Asia..Thailand, Burma, Laos, and Vietnam.

Today I just went to the fish market, and had Ceviche. Then I went to the airport to mail a package to Monique, then bought a shirt and shorts, then made two copies of each of my documents for Ludwig, bought a lock for my locker, and hung out at the hostel. Tomorrow I will pack for the trip to Carti. I still haven't seen the locks on the canal...running out of time.
